I believe that both systems of medicine can, and should, co-exist harmoniously. There is a time and place for both systems, depending on the nature of the individual and the nature of an individual’s illness.
Conventional medicine, which includes over-the-counter medications, seeks to control and manage symptoms. Rather than simply controlling symptoms, the homeopathic practitioner recognizes that all symptoms are expressions of how the body defends itself. Symptoms form part of a disturbance that affects the entire individual, and are not just local to a particular body system.
